We have been working for thirty years with the biggest brands in the fashion industry, like Tod’s, supporting them as they grew. Always at their side, we have created an integrated product which manages all processes in this sector, from design through to retail. This is how our software suite has become the industry standard for those looking for an integrated software solution and not a patchwork of different programs.

All our employees start by reading the “Footwear Manual” and then move on to the major fashion publications. This is how we develop programmers who are able to communicate with people managing business processes, and create a different version of D-Moda with every installation, configured for each customer, but enriched by our mission for best practice.

1985

Marche region, homeland of quality shoes

Emmedata starts here, from a group of friends’ idea who wants to put together their experience in shoemaking industry and their informatics skills. Through the S/34 IBM platform, the company studies custom data management with and for shoes factories, based on the market demand, and then implement it all in the standard sofwares already in use.
1987

Siac 400 is born

In 1987 Emmedata starts to promote and sell its first management software, SIAC/400, soon chosen and implemented by leading companies of fashion and shoes industry, like Tod’s and Alberto Guardiani.
1995

Software code changes

Right from the half of the 90s, communication and Internet change quickly and the companies need to adapt to the new market’s demands. Emmedata follows this technological evolution and chooses to use a new software developing environment, separated from IBM S/34 platform. Soon Emmedata develops its first web version of an application for IBM mainframe world, making the first Supply Chain portal in Italy.
This happens to be the right choice: the applications made with this new code allow the client companies to accomplish operations otherwise impossible. The first factory to highly believe in this project is Tod’s, for which Emmedata makes the first Retail management application.
2000

D-moda client/server era begins

D-moda for Windows is born. The management system developed by Emmedata is now multi-platform: companies are able to use the graphic applications in Windows environement and can decide to use its own database on Windows server or IBM ISeries. A single code for two platforms…
Nowadays

We grow up together with our customers

Since 2010 Emmedata is constantly growing its business. New internal areas are created, each with its own skills and tasks; new human resources investments are made, and so the necessary training opportunities. This internal improvement is awarded with new important clients like Le Silla, Santoni, Renè Caovilla.
Thanks to their support, our management software continues to improve to better respond to specific fashion and shoes manufacturing market demands. Today applications are available for IPad and smartphones, data are user friendly thanks to the AI components and graphically displayed through the dashboard.
We are currently studing new application forms in PLM and Visual Merchandising environments.

Consultancy
Each project for installation of ERP or replacement of a fashion management system starts with an extensive audit. This involves all company departments in order to understand its dynamics and processes.
Infrastructure architecture
Our complete and scalable software suite consists of a series of management programs which can support some areas of the company only or create a set of custom solutions, all interlinked and adaptable to each business model.
Product development
D-Moda can be integrated with all major management programs in the sector. For years now Emmedata has been developing packages which make all the software in the suite compatible with other families of products.
